Welcome to the Richmond Community Collaborative Site!

Detroit Tigers All-Star pitcher Justin Verlander's Wins for Warriors foundation has committed funds to Give an Hour to launch an initiative that supports the mental health and emotional well-being of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and the loved ones. 1. Increase the usage of the Give an Hour free and confidential mental health services among Post-9/11 service members, veterans, and their loved ones,
  2. Recruit additional licensed volunteer mental health professionals to offer free mental health services, and
  3. Assist in the coordination of community-based efforts to create a comprehensive and integrated system of care for service members, Veterans, and their loved ones.

Sylvia Muller @Richmond Community: The Phoenix House Mid-Atlantic invite you to Recovery Summit on October 21st 800-400 at Fort Myer, Arlington, VA. The summit will spotlight on the urgent needs of those who have chosen to serve in our Armed Forces or as emergency first responders, groups that are particularly susceptible to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). While medical professionals and the public are engaging in dialogue about these mental health conditions, the frequent co-occurrence with addiction is less widely discussed, understood—and addressed. In order to bring the men and women on the frontlines to the forefront of care, we will explore ways to capitalize on the services currently available and identify initiatives to strengthen access to care.
