The Student Liaison initiative formed in 2014 as part of Give an Hour's commitment to train and engage the next generation of mental health students in learning about the unique the needs of service members, veterans, and their families.
Student Liaisons serve as ambassadors for Give an Hour. They assist Give an Hour in raising awareness of Give an Hour's services to students, faculty and local community members nationwide. Student Liaisons serve in a unique role that assists the military-affiliated community in their area, ensures educational opportunities on military culture and clinical care and encourages mental health students to get involved in military care while in school and after graduation.
